Luke 19:37 “When He came to the place where the road goes down to the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen;”

The crowd gathered to greet Jesus that day was there because they had seen what He can do. They had witnessed His many miracles and they had heard His Words of comfort and grace which He displayed in His every action. Their excitement was focused on what Jesus did which supported everything He said.

What We Should Know

I like target shooting. I qualified as expert marksman in the Air Force and also with the Hillsborough Sheriff’s dept. The key to hitting the bullseye is focus. The moment your eye wonders away from the bullseye, you miss. The crowd who welcomed Jesus to Jerusalem was focused on one thing…..His accomplishments through miracles of healing and empathy toward their needs. Our faith today should likewise be focused on what Jesus did for all mankind and for us as individuals. As we know, their focus wandered as did their faith. Our recent series of keeping the main thing the main thing is essential for our faith. Let us stay in focus together.
