Gen 6:22 and Gen 7:5

“22. Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

5. Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.”

When I was a kid, my dad taught me self-confidence and responsibility by assigning me chores, some of which seemed impossible for me at the time. I, however, tackled each one and, with his support and advice mastered them. I remember that I always felt good about myself when I succeeded in some new challenge. I learned never to say, “I can’t do that.” I always said, “I will do my best.” I found that my quality of life was always boosted when I simply did all that my father asked of me; for even if I failed, he was proud of my efforts and right there to help me.

What We Should Know

Jesus told His disciples, after His resurrection, “As the Father has sent me…..Now I am sending you.” That is our challenge today in a world of chaos and division. There are so many opportunities within our church to touch lives for Jesus. All we have to do is do as Noah did and do what the Lord has commanded us in the Great Commission. Go and teach and baptize.
