Subject: My love and gratitude

 Words cannot begin to express what I felt as you honored me Sunday Morning; especially when I realized the amount of planning and coordination that went into it. You are not just my church, you are my family and Ginny and I have never been happier in our ministry than what we have experienced right here at 1^st UMC Plant City. Your love and appreciation rang clear as you celebrated with me eighty years of life. There is an old saying that, if you can count all your friends on one hand at my age, you are fortunate. Well, there aren’t enough hands here to account for all of my friends. 

I am now in my 12th year as your Assistant Pastor and I have served faithfully so far with four Lead Pastors. I am truly blessed and honored. When I retired in 2013 I had no idea what was ahead for me. God apparently had a plan for me and that too came as a surprise when I was asked to serve here. To say “Thank You” doesn’t begin to express what is in my heart. There is no place else in the world where I would rather be than right here with the family I love.
